03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

:: Wednesday, April 07, 2004 ::
Wow, so it's Wednesday, and only now am I actually blogging about my weekend. Let's review, shall we?

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: I did two things, mostly, with a lot of procrastination in between. White Rose was not so great on Friday and Saturday, and despite my complete lack of sleep, Sunday, I had a pretty good time. Mostly because fun people were working, and there weren't a huge amount of customers. At the end of the night, it was me, Michelle, Leesa and Mel closing, and I think we just totally lost it. Britney Spears' "Sometimes" came on the Muzak Satellite thingy and we turned it up so that we could belt it out loud. Unfortunately, Helen and Anita didn't find it so amusing and sent Anson to tell us to turn it down.

I don't know how many hours I spent on that essay, but it was complete crap. Seriously, I don't think I've written anything quite that bad. It had a thesis but I didn't really argue it properly and all of my supports were along the same lines. So yah. There goes my mark for that class - I can see it floating down a river...far far away.

In any case, since that's been done, I've been doing absolutely nothing. Well, that's not the complete truth. I've sort of been studying by copying my notes from messy to neat and by printing out my NATS lecture notes. Other than that, it's been pretty unproductive so far.

Although, tonight, I did see Mamma Mia with les Hanifs, and good god, was that a lot of fun! So far, I've seen Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and Mamma Mia. Hands down, this is probably the best one I've been to so far. I guess it is quite different from the others in the sense that it's more of a comedy than the dramatic undertones of the other three, so maybe I'll go check out The Producers or something...any takers?

I've been thinking for a long while, and I'm considering going for either the Sheridan or Randolph musical theatre programs, although they are damn hard to get into, probably even harder than film school. Especially because they concentrate on the whole "triple threat" thing, I'm wondering if it's such a good idea because dancing is not exactly my forté. Either way, I'm thinking of taking some kind of dance lessons - either Latin or Jazz, I haven't decided yet. And I also need to find a place to do these said activities.

I think I also need a partner for Latin dancing...any takers?

Erm, what else...ah yes. My dad's friend stayed over the past two nights, only to be joined by another friend last night who scared me when I went into the family room and found him sleeping on the couch last night. The first friend: Okay, I'm happy for the AMAZING chocolates he brought with him, but good god, he is not a very good houseguest. First of all, Saturday night, I go into my bathroom, and find his underwear, hanging in my shower. Fookin' GROSS. Then, I don't know what the hell he's doing in there, but everytime I went in there before I went to bed, there was water all over the counter. Like, the least you could do was take some paper towel, which is sitting right next to the sink and wipe it up! THEN....he USED MY TOOTHPASTE! I swear, I had half a tube left before he stayed over. Now I have next to none. Even worse, he uses the pop-up cap when I HATE when people do that because it's sooo messy.

So perhaps I'm just anal about the usage of my bathroom. But am I not justified in my ways? The bathroom is supposed to be one of the most personal spaces. MY PERSONAL SPACE WAS INVADED. That is just a no-no.

But anyway...
What else?

I had other things to talk about, mostly about self-esteem issues and the like, but I'm not in the mood to be bitter and angry again, haha.
